2. When the Church tells you that
you can't be sure that you are going to
heaven when you die, and God tells you that you can be sure, in whom do you
put your trust?
I have never seen where the Church directly says that we
cannot be certain of going to heaven. The Church teaches that we
live lives of faith, hope and trust in Jesus our Savior. There
are things that we can do to cut ourselves off from God, when we
sin, but we live lives counting on God's mercy, if we seek it we
get it, and hoping in our own resurrections in Christ, who died so
that we might live. |
