1.  So when the Church tells you that sacraments are necessary for salvation,
and Jesus taught that only belief was necessary, in whom do you put your
trust?

The Sacraments are encounters with Christ himself that give
us his grace and help. They are a means of living out and
actualizing our belief in Christ Jesus.  For example, Baptism washes
us clean from sin and allows us to die and be reborn in Christ.
Jesus himself called for baptism when he said "Go, therefore, and
make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. (Mt 28:19)"
Eucharist allows us to receive the very Body and Blood of Christ,
the Bread of Life that Jesus says "unless you eat the flesh of the
Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you.
(Jn 6:53)" The Sacrament of Penance gives us forgivness, the
Sacrament of Marriage allows us to live out what God ordained in
the Book of Genesis. In this light, the Sacraments are invaluable
to our salvation because they always lead back to Jesus.  With the
Sacraments, it is in Jesus that we trust.
